As we draw near to the conclusion of this incredible crowdfunding campaign, we want to take a moment to shine a spotlight on something truly special – our exclusive interview with the legendary Baaba Maal and the remarkable role that Maya Röttger played in making it happen. Back in 2020, Maya conducted extensive research on Sabar dance and its musical heritage. She recognized the potential for a musical partnership and introduced Aron to Bakane Seck, setting the stage for something extraordinary.

Fast forward to 2023, and here we are, sharing a sneak peek of the interview where Baaba Maal talks about the importance of documenting and preserving African music and culture.
