On 2 October 2025, Manchester was once again the scene of a terror incident which led to a major emergency response.
Among those deployed were the Army’s specialist Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams, who work alongside police, fire and ambulance crews to keep people safe. This video shows three bomb disposal trucks and support vehicles responding into the city as part of the operation.
While this footage captures just one part of the response, it reflects the scale of the teamwork and professionalism shown by all the services involved. My thoughts are with everyone affected by yesterday’s events, as well as with the people of Manchester who continue to show resilience in the face of adversity.
Most importantly, this is a reminder of the commitment of the emergency services and armed forces, who put themselves at risk to protect others. Respect and gratitude to all those on the front line.
