At this moment, everyone is wishing their heart out to the brilliant actor on Twitter. Previously, Akshay was not even nominated for the best actor category at the Filmfare award which provoked his admirers and eventually received strong criticism from them.

For those fans, the National Award is a vindication. Akshay Kumar acted as a naval commander on trial for murdering his wife's lover in Rustom- the film was based on the Nanavati case that led to reforms in the Indian judiciary.
