Dune Awakening: Risk vs reward has no place in end game PVP. It only motivates griefing.

Risk reward systems have been tried in every PVP MMO game for a decade now and it never works. It has a disproportionate impact on more casual less skilled or newer players and makes it impossible to grow a community. It also promotes mega guilds and griefing which are two huge killers in the genre.
It is time to lay down this terrible idea and start finding new ways (like this really cool system you have called Landsraad) to motivate players to work together and engage in conflict both in the deep desert with direct PVP and in Haga Basin trying to create the most industrially advanced base we can to pump out buggies for turn ins.
Losing gear and time spent in a sudden and comprehensive way (especially when the loss is perpetrated by another player who cannot or does not even loot you) is unfun and a waste of time.
