Women inclusion is a step towards ensuring all community members feel safe & heard.
Golo, Jebel Marra, is one of Darfur's most conflict-impacted areas. Until 2017, frequent clashes between government forces and armed rebel groups caused mass displacement. While spells of violence still occur, improvements to the area's security situation since 2018 have encouraged the return of IDPs.
Against this background, UNDP initiated a joint peacebuilding project funded by PBF aimed at enhancing peace and stability in the area.
