Built to perform in some of the world’s most challenging environments, the AV-L is engineered for reliable transitions between deep water, surf zones, beaches and on-road operations. Its design reflects Birdon’s commitment to creating versatile, high-performance vehicles that support a wide range of applications — from logistics and transport to emergency response and humanitarian support.

Purpose-built for harsh coastal and remote conditions, the AV-L is designed to withstand prolonged exposure to saltwater, extreme humidity, high temperatures and rough surf. Advanced propulsion and steering systems combine water-jet technology with a dynamic drivetrain, delivering enhanced manoeuvrability, improved speed and confident handling across marsh, clay and surf environments.

Safety and operator comfort are central to the vehicle’s design. Intelligent traction systems automatically respond to wheel bogging and slipping, while shock-absorbing seating, front and rear steering, automatic tyre inflation and self-levelling suspension help reduce fatigue and improve control in demanding conditions.

The AV-L’s modular payload system, deck crane, advanced fire safety features and debris-clearing reverse flush system allow the vehicle to be configured for a variety of operational roles — ensuring adaptability wherever it is deployed.
