Tire Liners are cheap, inexpensive and effective at reducing flats. A great way to add puncture resistance to your tires. It is a flexible plastic type material that goes in between your tire and inner tube creating a protective barrier. It is better that using a messy sealant in your inner tubes which can eventually clog your valve. I like to add a cut up an inner tube and add it as another layer for extra puncture resistance.
