In this video, I take a closer look at the remarkable Porsche 911 'GT3R Hybrid' that made a significant impact at the 2010 Petit Le Mans, the final round of the American Le Mans Series. Driven by the 2010 Le Mans winners, Timo Bernhard, Mike Rockenfeller, and Romain Dumas, this unique car showcased its advantages in wet conditions with its four-wheel-drive characteristics and torque vectoring.

What sets this 911 apart is its role as a mobile laboratory for Porsche, supporting the Porsche 918 Spyder and Cayenne Hybrid SUV. It houses a cutting-edge Hybrid system with a flywheel spinning at 40,000rpm, providing a power boost of 6-8 seconds, adding an impressive 160 horsepower to the front wheels and transforming it into an all-wheel-drive machine.

Inspired by the awe-inspiring Porsche 911 'GT3R Hybrid,' I decided to build a smaller replica using the Fujimi Porsche 911 GT3R kit. Customizations were made, including front vent and fin splitters using a photoetched kit from ScaleLab24, and rear extensions and symmetrical 2nd vent crafted from PLA sheets. The challenging process of creating horizontal vents on the hood was also shown.

The most challenging part was replicating the vents on the rear fenders, but I found a solution using vents from the Toyota Supra by Tamiya, which fit perfectly for my project.

The video also showcases the painstaking process of painting the livery, which required a significant amount of time spent on masking and painting. Despite the challenges, I'm proud of the final result, and I'm excited to share it with you.
