UCVM Community Care Clinic

As we grow, we are focused on providing our expanding student body with meaningful, hands-on learning opportunities. We are excited to announce that our Community Care Clinic will do just that.

A Hub for Learning and Compassionate Care
Hands-On Veterinary Education:
Located at Spy Hill Campus, the clinic will train students in physicals, vaccinations, spay/neuters, and dental care. This hands-on experience will prepare them for practice while addressing community needs. Through hands-on experiences, students will conduct physicals, administer vaccinations, and perform essential procedures such as spay/neuters and dental care. Students will have the opportunity to engage with diverse pet owner challenges while delivering patient-centered care. This practical exposure will enhance their readiness for general practice while fostering a deep understanding of community needs.
Supporting Vulnerable Pet Owners:
The clinic will work closely with shelters, rescues, and social services organizations to provide care for pets already under their care and those referred by these groups. By offering stable urgent care and routine health services, the clinic will alleviate the demand on existing resources and ensure pets receive the care they deserve.
