The Path of Ordination | Entering Monk Life

Ordination is a sacred path one must go through in order to become a Buddhist monk. This video documents the journey of three Westerners as they enter the monk life in Thailand. Before they their ordination day, they must learn and practice the basic foundation of the monk life such as mindfulness, meditation, chanting, eating, walking, and so much more. The monk life is simple, but not easy.

However, through diligent practice each one of these men proves that they are up to the task of overcoming the obstacles that stand between them and the saffron robes.
