🕒 Journey Overview
Start Point: Kharghar, Navi Mumbai
End Point: Udaipur, Rajasthan

Car: Maruti Suzuki Brezza Facelift (AT)

🛣️ Route Details:
Kharghar → Thane (via Mumbra)
Smooth early morning start—ideal driving conditions.
➡️ Shilphata NH 48 Toll – ₹47

Thane → Vasai-Virar (Golden Quadrilateral)
Hit a 45-minute traffic jam near Vasai-Virar creek. Classic Mumbai bottleneck.
➡️ Khaniwade Toll – ₹75
➡️ Charoti Toll – ₹65

Vasai → Vapi → Valsad → Navsari → Surat
Clean, flowing highway stretch. We were able to maintain speeds of 80–100 kmph.
➡️ Bhagwada Toll – ₹130
➡️ Boriach Toll – ₹120
➡️ Choryasi Toll – ₹125

Surat → Bharuch (Delhi-Mumbai Expressway - NE4)
This stretch was an absolute dream! On the new 8-lane expressway, we cruised comfortably at 120 kmph.
We stopped at:
A food court & service area 🍔
Clean fuel stations and restrooms ⛽🚻
And yes—my wife drove for the first time on this expressway! 🎉

Vadodara → Ahmedabad (NE1 Expressway)
A beautifully maintained 4-lane asphalt highway—super smooth with:
Gorgeous roadside landscaping 🌺
Tree-lined medians and vibrant flora 🌳
➡️ Dodaka Toll – ₹260

🚔 Unexpected Run-In with Gujarat RTO
As we exited the expressway near Ahmedabad, we had an unpleasant experience with a corrupt Gujarat RTO officer who checked our documents and still demanded ₹2000.
🎥 I recorded everything on phone and dashcam, informed him I’m a YouTuber, and, he let us go.
🛑 This part of the vlog is important if you’re driving across states—know your rights and always stay calm.

☕ Evening Break Near Rajasthan Border
Near Samalaji, just before crossing into Rajasthan, we took a relaxing break for:
Coffee ☕
Sandwiches 🥪
It was the perfect spot to enjoy the sunset and recharge for the final stretch.

🏡 Arrival in Udaipur – The City of Lakes!
After 17 long hours, we finally arrived at our Airbnb stay in Udaipur — and it was SO worth it!

Nicknamed the “Venice of the East”, Udaipur is a stunning mix of royal charm and natural beauty.
