Quota Rejected for Promotee Judges | All India Judges Association 2025

Supreme Court का बड़ा फ़ैसला | No Quota for Judicial Officers in District Judge Posts (2025):
आज Supreme Court ने All India Judges Association vs Union of India (2025) केस में साफ़ कह दिया कि District Judge पदों पर Regular Promotee Judges के लिए कोई special quota या अतिरिक्त weightage नहीं दिया जा सकता. Court ने माना कि nationwide ऐसा कोई pattern नहीं है जहाँ Direct Recruits promotees को suppress कर रहे हों.

अब HJS seniority पूरे देश में एक जैसे नियमों पर तय होगी—annual 4-point roster (2 RP : 1 LDCE : 1 DR) के आधार पर. Court ने यह भी कहा कि Civil Judge के रूप में लंबी service कोई अलग classification नहीं बना सकती. Promotees, LDCE और Direct Recruits तीनों अब एक ही common cadre में merit-and-seniority से आगे बढ़ेंगे.

Supreme Court ने Article 142 का उपयोग करते हुए देशभर के लिए mandatory guidelines जारी की हैं और States व High Courts को निर्देश दिया है कि वे अपने नियम इनसे match कराएँ.
