🔪 Ingredients you'll need:
300 grams button mushrooms
2–3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 medium size onion(chopped)
4–6 garlic cloves (finely chopped or minced)
2 tablespoon olive oil (optional, helps prevent butter from burning)
Salt, to taste
Ground black pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, dried thyme, rosemary (optional)
1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional, for brightness)
Instructions:
Prep the mushrooms: Clean mushrooms with a damp cloth or rinse briefly and pat dry. Cut in halves or quarters if large.
Heat the pan: In a skillet or frying pan, heat the butter over medium heat. Add olive oil if using.
Saute garlic: Add the chopped garlic and onion and saute for 30–60 seconds until fragrant. Don’t let it brown too much.
Cook mushrooms: Add mushrooms and spread them out in a single layer. Let them cook undisturbed for 8–10 minutes to develop a golden color.
Stir and season: Stir mushrooms and continue cooking for 5–7 minutes until they're golden brown and tender. Add salt,pepper and herbs to taste.
Add lemon juice and herbs: (Optional) Add a splash of lemon juice. Toss well and cook for another 1–2 minutes.
