Today please come along with me to the Bruno Liljefors exhibition in Paris at the Petit Palais. One of the golden trio of great Swedish painters, Bruno Liljefors is famous for his fantastic rendition of wildlife and Swedish landscapes. He was one of the first European painters to depict animals in their natural habitat doing what they naturally do without romanticizing nor embellishing the cruel nature of some of their occupations.
I will show you my favourite artworks from the exhibition and I will tell you more both about the art historical context as well as comment on the particularities of the different paintings giving you guys my personal in-depth analysis and art critique.
