1. Salem Halwa Puttu: The Ghee-Free Transformation
The journey began in Pallikaranai with Mrs. Mahalakshmi, who presented the intriguing Salem Halwa Puttu. This dish is a culinary paradox: made from finely ground Idli rice and jaggery, it is cooked like Halwa (stirred until glassy) but is known locally as Puttu (the regional term for Idli).

2. Chettinad Kandarappam: The Art of the Perfect Sphere
Next, in Mogappair, Mrs. Indhumathi Ashokkumar shared her family's Chettinad Kandarappam, a famed Edai Palagaram (interim snack) reserved for special occasions. This fritter's perfect formation is a masterclass in controlled cooking.

3. Padhar Peni: The Layered Masterpiece of Crispness
The final stop was Valasaravakkam, where Mrs. Sasi unveiled the delicate, layered sweet known as Padhar Peni. This complex preparation involves creating multiple paper-thin layers of Maida dough.
