In this video we will walk through an initial evaluation of an Ampeg SVT CL that is having issues with going into "Protection Mode." We will investigate ways to check the tubes to ensure that they are arranged correctly for the bias circuit in these amps, as well as methods for checking the grid stopper resistors and screen resistors without pulling the chassis. After pulling the chassis (see related video) we will then find a potential cause for the issues that are being seen by the customer.
