Greenstone Caples Track (Ambient Hiking)

The track in the Greenstone Valley, over the McKellar Saddle and into the Caples Valley (61km Loop) is a rather popular one in the Mount Aspiring National Park. It has relatively low elevation gain, so it was a great choice for my first overnight hike! The heavy rain in on the first day made this hike more diverse and walking in the sun on the second day was a pure joy!
I stayed one night in the McKellar hut with my Backcountry Hut Pass.
