The Wave Project, the world’s first surf therapy course funded by a government health service, is celebrating its 10th anniversary.
The mental health program was created in September 2020 in Watergate Bay, in Cornwall, England.
Since its first surf lesson, The Wave Project helped more than 5,000 children diagnosed with mental health disorders, including self-harming, severe anxiety, low mood, depression and schizophrenia.
