Finding and restoring a vintage film camera was a great photography project

I found a Pentax K1000 35mm film camera in a junk shop for only £10 (about $13) so I couldn't help but buy it, take it a part and clean off the decades of dirt and grime using isopropyl alcohol and an old toothbrush head. It turned out that it still worked so I popped in various rolls of film and did some exploring of Scotland and I'm really pleased with some of the results.
Okay fine, none of them are award winning shots, but they're much more meaningful to me because I remember more vividly taking the time to consider each scene more thoroughly before taking the photo.
I have no great desire to 'get into' film photography, but I do like having to be more selective over my images and as a result hopefully coming back with more shots that I'm pleased with.
