There was once a story, maybe a little bit unknown to many, in ancient Egypt that talks about homosexuality.

Because same-sex relationships have existed throughout history and in many cultures, it is challenging to pinpoint the exact date of the first known homosexual relationship in history. Nonetheless, there are historical accounts from a number of different civilizations of same-gender romantic connections and relationships. For instance, same-sex partnerships between males were common in ancient Greece, especially between older men and their younger pupils. The connection between the philosopher Plato and his young protégé Agathon is also one well-known example. On top of this, same-sex relationships were very common in ancient Rome, especially between males. For instance, Emperor Hadrian was well-known for his relationship with Antinous, a young man who was a close friend and whom he adored.

But it’s crucial to remember that relationships and actions were frequently shaped by cultural and societal norms and expectations, and that the concepts of sexual orientation and identity as we know them now did not always exist.

With that being said, we will be focusing on the secret homosexual life in ancient Egypt and uncover how homosexual relationships survived during those times.
