Lipan Point on the Grand Canyon South Rim

One of the not-to-be-missed stops along the Grand Canyon's South Rim, Lipan Point has some of the widest and most expansive canyon views - and is an ideal spot to enjoy sunrise, sunset, and the night sky.

This is one of only a few places on the South Rim where you can see the Grand Canyon Supergroup - layers of rock strata, all the way down to the Vishnu Basement Rocks, oldest at the canyon.
