North Hempstead Supervisor Jennifer DeSena, Town Councilman Dennis Walsh, and members of the Town Board held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to open the newly-renovated Broadway Park in Garden City Park on Monday, July 7. The park had been temporarily closed this past spring for a more than $1 million facelift to prepare for the summer season. The updated Broadway includes upgraded spray pads, playground equipment, seating and rest areas, safety surfaces, landscaping, fencing, and LED lighting. The project was completed both on time and under budget.
