Instructions for Crunch Stitch:

Work any number of even chains. For this example, I will start with 12 chains.

Row 1:
Working in the back bump or 3rd loop, start in the 2nd chain from the hook (skip the 1st chain) and place 1 HDC in 3rd loop, next stitch, 1 Slip Stitch. Continue alternating these stitches to the end of the row. CH 1, turn your work.

Row 2:

Slip Stitch in 1st stitch, then 1 HDC. Continue alternating these stitches to end of row. CH 1, turn your work.

Row 3:

HDC in 1st stitch, then 1 Slip Stitch in next stitch. Continue alternating these stitches to end of row. CH 1, turn your work.

Continue steps above to your desired length of project.
