If you've been watching for a while, this color and model is going to seem familiar. But this time, there's a little different modifications from the Demo Shop. This guitar has had some Custombucker Alnico 3 pickups added to it, as well as some appearance modifications that give it very similar to R0 specs. Gone are the Grovers and little kidney bean looking tuners. Replacing them is a set of Gibson Deluxe tuners with aged looking green keystones.
The guitar has a slim taper neck that is more in line with a Custom than what I think of as the '60s neck profile that the previous '60s Standard had. And that isn't a bad thing. It's very comfortable and easy to play on. A little thinner than what I've come to love on Les Pauls, but not terrible, by any means.
This one has a sound that is really easy to love. It doesn't push the amp like some pickups do. And that makes it easy to play almost everything. Dialing back the tone and volume provides great dynamic changes that make it fit in almost anywhere. I can see why people really love the Custombuckers now. I am now a fan, too.
Would you rock this one? Let us know what you think in the comments.
Enjoy!
