Varmaji always says that when he was young, he used to feel bitter about the fact that nothing came to him easily. But these days he says he feels so grateful for this because unlike many who take things for granted when they come to them very easily, Varmaji really and truly cherishes the good things and good people that have come his way. For me, Varmaji's voice is the most beautiful in the world and I know quite a few others who feel so too. So it is fascinating to get candid glimpses of how much Varmaji had to struggle to develop the kind of mesmerizing voice quality that he now has.
