WHAT ARE THE ELEMENTS OF CURRICULUM?

The curriculum encompasses various components that contribute to the overall educational experience. Four major elements of curriculum are commonly identified:
1. Goals and Objectives:
The desired learning outcomes that educators aim to achieve through the curriculum.
Role: Provide a clear direction for teaching and learning by articulating what students should know and be able to do.
2. Content:
The subject matter or topics covered in the curriculum.
Role: Specifies the knowledge, skills, and concepts that students are expected to acquire during the course of their education.
3. Methods and Pedagogy:
The instructional strategies, approaches, and methods used to facilitate learning.
Role: Determines how content is delivered, emphasizing effective teaching practices to engage and support student learning.
4. Assessment and Evaluation:
The processes and tools used to measure student progress, understanding, and achievement.
