Monthly Member Highlight: Breast Cancer Awareness Month

In this special edition of our Monthly Member Highlight series, we take time to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month — a period dedicated to education, early detection, and supporting those affected by breast cancer. We hear from Ashanti Chamberlain, Lead Ambassador with us here at the Chamber of Commerce, about the importance of early detection and advocating for yourself in your healthcare journey.

We also feature Primped 365, a local salon and boutique known for empowering confidence and self-care, and discuss how they’re contributing to awareness and support efforts throughout the New River Valley for those going through their own cancer journeys.

Throughout the month of October, we’re reminded how important it is to know the signs, schedule regular screenings, and share resources with others. Our community is fortunate to have outstanding local care providers and organizations leading the way in prevention, treatment, and support.
