Planting Dahlia Tubers:
Dug up in autumn, dried, wrapped in newspaper, stored in a frost-free shed.
Larger tubers planted directly into the ground.
Smaller or broken tubers planted in pots for easier management.
Tubers are not planted in the same place each year to allow for garden design changes.

Bed previously used for spring cabbages, cleared and refreshed with compost.
String line used for planting onions in a straight line.
First year growing onions from seed instead of sets.
Seeds planted on January 15, germinated in 10-14 days, and grown in propagator.
Transplanted into individual modules with strong root systems.
