Hello everybody! Welcome back to my Basic Cantonese grammar course!
In this video, we will talk about one of the most important and often overlooked parts of Cantonese: how to ask and answer yes-no questions. Many people often mistaken 係 [hai6] and 唔係 [m4-hai6] to mean "yes" and "no," and while this isn't entirely untrue, "yes" and "no" is a little bit more complicated than that. However, it really is a simple case of a different concept, and trying to rewire our English minds to understand the concept in Cantonese, and this is what today's video lesson is about 😊
