Jesus, THANK YOU for coming down to us | Beautiful Prayer | 1/1/2026

LORD OF MERCY, my soul trembles within me as I behold the gift of gifts, Thy beloved Son, begotten of Thee, not made by hands.
Thou hast given me what no mortal could fashion, a Redeemer divine, clothed in flesh for the ransom of my soul.
Who can fathom the infinity of His love, a love deeper than oceans, higher than the stars, wider than the heavens?
What heart can fully contain such grace, which floods the soul like the Jordan in its swelling?
This is the wonder of all wonders—that He who reigns from everlasting stooped to walk among the dust He formed.
He who breathed life into Adam’s frame was Himself born of a virgin, swaddled and laid in a manger.
He came down that I might rise, was made like me that I might be made like Him.
When I could not climb to Thee, Thou didst send Him with wings of mercy to carry me to Thee.
I was chained in the pit, but He descended into my dungeon and broke the bars of brass.
Herein is power divine, that the chasm between God and man has been closed by the blood of the Incarnate.
He joined Creator and creature in one Person, a bond no force of hell can sever.
Herein is wisdom eternal, that when I was blind and wandered without sense, He came knowing my need.
He found me where I lay ruined, not seeking Him but hiding in my shame.
He took on mortality that He might face my death and swallow it in victory.
He who is holy died for the unholy, the Lamb without blemish offered for my sin.
By His blood was justice satisfied, and by His righteousness I am made whole.
Take me in spirit to the hillside where shepherds watched under starlit skies, that I may hear the angel’s song.
Let me receive the good tidings as they did, with trembling joy and worshipful hearts.
And hearing, let me believe; and believing, let me rejoice beyond the reach of sorrow.
May my conscience be washed clean, bathed in a sea of divine repose.
Lift my gaze unto Thee, O reconciled Father, who calls me beloved through the Son.
Let me stand with the lowly beasts of the stable, gazing upon the Holy Child with wonder.
Let me see in His tiny face the glory of God, wrapped in tender humanity.
With Simeon of old, let me clasp Him to my heart and cry out, “Mine eyes have seen Thy salvation.”
Let faith embrace Him so fully that life's bitterest hour cannot shake my joy.
Let me declare, “He is mine and I am His,” as the anthem of my soul.
Thou hast given me such a treasure that not even heaven holds more than Him.
May I never cease to praise Thee for this unspeakable gift, flowing from depths of mercy unknown.
By the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, I pray and declare, Amen.
