The PS4 CMOS battery looks like it affects much more than just the PS4. After some digging, it looks like the team at Does it Play has uncovered a PS3 CMOS Battery issue, a PS4 battery issue, and all of these affect your digital games and access to your saves. In addition, they've also found that the DRM on Xbox would prevent you from accessing certain games should the new consoles ever stop having server support.
