Bloody star

The glow of the star of totalitarianism flared up again in the Ukrainian sky eight years ago in the Near East, in an insidious abode where it secretly stored its mechanical, bloodthirsty, devouring insides, whose thirst grows as its deadly rays, capable of killing not only the body, creep away .
The ancient Ukrainian melody is a memory that exists even in the stones of local mountain rivers, unlike the machine, which is alive, so the artificial system is aimed at destroying the memory that is foreign to it.
Deprived of the source, one must not strive for identity at all, instead perform the function of the cog of the mechanism, identifying oneself with it, satisfy the central need of the bloody star - global enslavement for the sake of one's own existence.
Where are you?
Today, Ukrainian identity is a target of totalitarianism.
Today, Ukrainian culture is the right to memory, the right to freedom.

"Blood Star" is my composer's reflection on the exhibition of Ukrainian contemporary artists in Rikstolvan (Sweden), where I performed this live.
