A colorful opening ceremony was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Anwar Ul Haq Gillani, Member Higher Education Commission Pakistan, accompanied by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mian Ghulam Yasin, MPA, and member Syndicate UoS Sardar Asim Sher Maken, while being attended by the sports directors of various universities across Pakistan, deans of faculties, heads of departments, and thousands of students.

The opening ceremony of the 20th University Sports Gala and the All-Pakistan Football Champion League, featuring cultural dances, tent pegging, dance performances by the horses, and musical performances by the students from various cultures in Pakistan, left an indelible mark in the hearts and minds of thousands of students.
