"On a Sea of Glass" - TITANIC 112 Anniversary Livestream

This year, I am pleased to invite Tad Fitch, J. Kent Layton, and Bill Wormstedt -- the historians and authors behind the books 'On a Sea of Glass: The Life & Loss of the RMS Titanic' and 'Recreating Titanic and Her Sisters: A Visual History' -- to team up with me yet again to commemorate, in real time, the anniversary of the Titanic disaster. We invite you to join us at 9:30pm EDT, 14-15 April 2024 on my YouTube Channel Part-Time Explorer when we go live.

This year, we are honored to be joined by special guests Ken Marschall, renowned artist and the foremost visual historian of the Titanic and her sisters; Don Lynch, Titanic historian and author, and advisor on the James Cameron film Titanic; George Behe, historian, author, and past vice-president of the Titanic Historical Society; and Mark Chirnside, maritime and Olympic-class liner historian and author.

Joining us as well are Alex Moeller, the digital artist behind the animations in several of my documentaries. Also Levi Rourke, animator of the Titanic animation featured in this video and lead programmer of our upcoming virtual museum experience, "Lusitania: The Greyhound's Wake".

We have some exciting things in store for all those who join us: a brief update on the forthcoming HFX Studios' Lusitania experience "Lusitania: The Greyhound's Wake", as well as one on our upcoming book with the History Press titled "Lusitania: An Illustrated Biography".

Adding to the excitement this year are is the debut of newly discovered rare photographs of the Titanic during her fitting out!

It was some 11 years ago, in 2014, when I began a tradition of commemorating the sinking through these streams. Join us in real-time and pose questions that our panel will attempt to answer..
