Ballad of the Peace March”
Verse 1
Across wide roads and restless lands,
They walk with bowls and folded hands,
No flags, no fear, no claim to fame,
Just whispered peace in Buddha’s name.
From dusty towns to city light,
Their robes move slowly through the night,
Each step a prayer, each breath a vow,
For here, for then, for here and now.
Verse 2
They carry nothing but the truth,
Old wisdom born forever young,
No anger in their silent eyes,
Only skies where hope still flies.
America beneath their feet,
Concrete, highways, hope and heat,
And still they walk, calm and awake,
For every heart that longs to break.
Chorus
Oh walk on, walk on, gentle flame,
Peace marchers with no need for name,
Let every step unlearn our wars,
And open still-forgotten doors.
No drums, no guns, no victory cry,
Just peace that learns to multiply.
Verse 3
Some stop and stare, some bow their head,
Some weep for words they never said,
A child waves, an old man cries,
A woman joins with folded eyes.
In silence louder than our screams,
They heal the cracks in human dreams,
A walking sermon, calm and slow,
Teaching love the world should know.
Outro
When history forgets this day,
Their footsteps still will softly stay,
Across all lands, all hearts, all seas—
The Ballad of the Peace March breathes.
