Episode #16 of the Tiguan MK1 project. More issues. Now the tailgate won't open. Sigh.
This video shows how to remove the tailgate internal trim and some basic diagnosis. The video unfortunately doesn't show a solution as I'm still trying to figure this one out.
You will need the following:
Flat screwdriver if your tailgate cannot be opened
T30 torx bit/wrench key
Trim removal tools
Voltmeter/Ohmmeter.
