A flood emergency is unfolding across North Queensland as entire suburbs in Townsville are on alert to evacuate, and authorities say residents should not delay leaving.
With 600 millimetres of rain forecast each day until Monday, the worst may be yet to come.
The warning zones stretch from Mackay to Cairns.
