Reading is undoubtedly the single most effective way to learn new information, but can also be a tiresome bore, if a book's primary purpose isn't to entertain.

As someone who doesn't much enjoy reading, but has spent a great deal of time doing it, I wanted to give you some of my tips for increasing your word count, but whilst emphasising that the literal amount of books you read is not the most important measure of effective reading.

So, this is a video about how to read, but more specifically how not to.
