Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) is a 2 year undergraduate teaching program that enables you to pursue a career in teaching and other related fields.
To become eligible for the award of B. Ed. Elementary (2-Year) degree, the student is required to complete at least 72 credit hours with minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.00 out of 4.Salaries will be increased with a good experience and degree in the education field. In a government schools a TGT can earn a salary more than Rs. 3 lacs per year and a PGT can get a salary of Rs. 4.5 lacs per year.
Bachelor's Degree holders are eligible to pursue regular B. Ed. course. 12th pass students are eligible to pursue integrated B.
How do I become a government teacher?
In order to become a Government Teacher, candidate should have the acquired the minimum educational qualification required for the level they intend to Teach (PRT, TGT, PGT Pre-Primary Teacher) and should qualify the Central Teacher Eligibility Test/ State Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET/TET).
One with an aggregate of 50-55% in 10+2 from a recognised university or board is eligible for this course. There are a number of entrance tests for admission in Bachelor of Education course say, IPU CET, BHU UET, DU B. ED and others. You can also opt this course through distance education mode.
