A Qantas general counsel got a “taste” of his “own medicine” when the Senate inquiry delayed him from catching his flight, according to Sky News host Chris Kenny.
It comes as the inquiry investigates the circumstances behind Transport Minister Catherine King’s decision to block extra Qatar Airways flights.
Sky News host Chris Kenny said Qantas general counsel Andrew Finch appeared “very keen” to catch his flight in an inquiry session last week when he told the Senate the last flight to Sydney was leaving in “thirty minutes”.
Nationals Senator Bridget McKenzie replied that he would have to be “delayed” at the discretion of the committee and would continue pursuing questions until they were finished.
“Taste of your own medicine – what it feels like when you can’t get that flight,” Mr Kenny said.
