This is a preview of the Katsushika Hokusai Museum at Creekside Elementary. This is a traveling art exhibit created by the Sun Prairie Area School District K-5 Art Team for all elementary students in our district. Funding for this project was generously provided by the Sun Prairie Education Foundation.
In this exhibit, students pretend that we are in a real museum. We will take an in-depth look at the life and artworks of Katsushika Hokusai, a famous artist from Japan. We will also learn about who works at a museum and how art exhibits are put together. When the exhibit goes to another school we'll continue making connections to Katsushika Hokusai and our own artistic process.
