The Naoshima Islands in Kagawa Prefecture float in the Seto Inland Sea. They consist of 27 islands, large and small, five of which are inhabited and the rest are uninhabited.
Hatago Island is located at the northernmost tip of the Naoshima Islands. With an area of just 0.02 km2, it is a small, uninhabited island where nature remains untouched.

This is a must-see spot for fishing enthusiasts, a hidden gem where you can catch black porgy and rockfish. You can enjoy a relaxing time fishing from the rocks or with a lure.
Access is by ferry only. Take a ferry from Hinode Port in Tamano City, Okayama Prefecture, and enjoy a leisurely journey while feeling the sea breeze.
The ferry fare is 3,000 yen per person, and they will depart even if you are alone.
On this island where there is almost no sign of people, Why not spend some luxurious time facing nature?
The name Hatago Island is a collective name for the three islands: Kami Hatago, Shimo Hatago, and Suna Hatago.
One theory is that it was named "Hatago Island" because it was once a resting place for sailors. Hatago means cheap inn.
From Hatago Island, you can see the land of Tamano City, Okayama Prefecture, across the shore.
