In this silent survival building video, I discover a massive hollow beneath a living giant tree and transform it into a secret sanctuary. Using only hand tools and materials carried into the forest, I excavate the earth, frame a custom room to fit the organic root shapes, and finish the interior with modern wood paneling, a glass window, and a warm wood stove.
This project was a challenge of engineering and respect for nature. I had to build around the living roots without damaging them, creating a "room within a cage" of ancient wood.
