The recent ZPE ATM scam in Coimbatore has shocked investors across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka. The company, ZPE ATM, allegedly used lucrative advertisements and promised "multi-fold profits" by offering franchises for their ATM machines.

What Happened in the ZPE ATM Scam?

The company convinced over 100 investors to put in anywhere from ₹50,000 to several lakhs, claiming that their machines allow for cash withdrawals using both bank cards and UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, etc.), with a commission for every transaction. However, the company reportedly failed to deliver the machines within the promised 45 days or return the funds, leading investors to file a massive police complaint.

ZPE ATM மோசடி என்றால் என்ன?

ZPE ATM நிறுவனம் சமூக வலைதளங்களில் விளம்பரம் செய்து, நூற்றுக்கும் மேற்பட்ட முதலீட்டாளர்களிடம் ₹50,000 முதல் பல லட்சம் ரூபாய் வரை முதலீடு பெற்றுள்ளதாகத் தெரிகிறது. ATM இயந்திரம் மூலம் டெபிட் கார்டுகள் மட்டுமின்றி Google Pay, PhonePe போன்ற UPI மூலமாகவும் பணம் எடுக்கலாம், ஒவ்வொரு பரிவர்த்தனைக்கும் கமிஷன் கிடைக்கும் என்று ஆசை வார்த்தை கூறியுள்ளனர். ஆனால், 45 நாட்களுக்குள் இயந்திரம் ஒப்படைக்கப்படாததாலும், பணத்தை நிரப்பாததாலும் முதலீட்டாளர்கள் காவல் துறையில் புகார் அளித்துள்ளனர்.
