Lausanne is a small city in Switzerland situated on lake Geneva. It is the smallest city in the world to have a metro and is also the only city in Switzerland to have one. Lausanne’s M2 uses a rubber tyred metro based off the mp89 in Paris. M1 is a light rail line and uses pretty standard rolling stock. Everything has a blue and white livery. The LEB (Lausanne Echallens Bercher) is the only suburban rail line in Lausanne. It uses green and white smaller gauge trains similar to the ones in Geneva. This system is an amazing example of how a small city can greatly benefit from a rail system and I think we need to learn more from this city. If you’re ever in Lausanne and are in need of transportation I reccomend the metro system very much. Enjoy the video :)
