I wanted a quick change toolpost on my 8 inch mini lathe, I ended up making a solid toolpost to make it all fit.
I must say the soild toolpost adds a lot of stabilty to the lathe, even that it really was the quick change toolpost that was my motivation.
I test 3 different tools, the result surprised me.
