ASMR Daddy: Slow Box Tapping, Layered and Unusual Bass Sounds That Soothe a Stressful Mind to Sleep.

Here’s the latest video in my new "Solo Object Triggers" series! I decided to call this one "ASMR DADDY" for two reasons:

First, I’ve had a few comments saying, "is this Zeitgeist’s grandaddy?" 😆 Well —haha— I’m not quite that old but maybe I'm old enough to be his ASMR daddy! Second, the featured object is none other than a set of "Scrub Daddy" sponges 🥰❤

I think the sounds here are similar to my recent, "ASMR HEAVEN" video, but possibly even better this time! So, prepare yourself for an hour and a half of slow tapping and really unusual layering of sounds. I don't know what it is about this type of tapping but I just find it so soothing! You'll probably catch me sleep-tapping in the video a few times 😅🥰💤

I kept the sponges in the boxes as they seem to add something to the sound. You can only just barely hear them but they definitely make a difference. I was going to take the sponges out and use them in the video too, but they are a much harsher sound and I just felt they clashed too much with the serene sounds from the box tapping.

In creating these solo trigger videos, I love taking the time to find all of the unique sounds each item can make. It's captivating to experiment with one object for an hour or more, discovering lots of unexpected tones triggers from different parts of the boxes. With this video, having two identical boxes just adds to the multiple layers I've created and I really hope you enjoy this as much as I liked making it.

For those of you who've been with me from the start, or for those of you who've looked through my older content, you'll know I used to make really long ASMR videos when I started out. As much as I like making epic length videos, they don't help the channel with the algorithm or with the potential for revenue and they take a long, long time to edit. There's a reason Zeitgeist et.al. upload in the 90-180min range. This seems to be the sweet spot for ASMR channels. I was reluctant to make shorter videos at first, but I've realised something since I started this solo object series. Even if you ignore the efficiency issues and the fact that shorter videos are more popular, these aren't actually the main advantage. No, I've realised that the main advantage is spending extra edit time on each object. It means I can really focus in on a 90min video to bring in extra layers, be more critical with the sound editing, and add in extra footage and clips too. Essentially, shorter videos give you guys quality over quantity. 5hr+ videos take so long to edit that I have to semi-rush 'em, but these short videos should sound even better ❤🥰
