In this edition of SPALECK's CIRCULAR ECONOMY TALK (CET), we talk to Michael Kannengießer about the successful use of SPALECK technologies in his metal recycling process.

🔍 In focus:

A SPALECK metal screen: The single-deck screening machine ensures more precise separation of the recycling material compared to the old drum screening machine (drum screen). This has enabled Koslow to increase the yield of non-ferrous metals by up to 13%. Another plus: the screening machine is virtually self-cleaning and also very easy to access - for smooth screening results without downtime.

We also present the SPALECK ActiveFEED feed hopper in use at Koslow. Its simple operation and the ability to store up to 6 different materials as input material for the subsequent sorting technology makes handling particularly efficient and flexible. Since the ActiveFEED was installed, there have been no downtimes, which was the case almost every day with the previous material feed technology.

In the CET Talk, we then talk about the advantages of the SPALECK ActiveFEED feed hopper from the perspective of a metal recycling company. With a capacity of 12 m³ and an output of 8 tonnes per hour, the ActiveFEED ensures that the recycling material is fed in evenly and without blockages. The downstream Eddy Current and sensor sorting devices can therefore be fed extremely evenly. The recycling result and sorting quality increase.
