A Dainya Madhuri bhajan composed by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, beautifully sung by Ramesh Baba (a prominent saint of Barsana and a very old devotee of Shri Maharaj Ji). English translation provided below.
peer hari! tum binu kaun hare
(O Hari! Who other than You, can permanently take away my sorrow?)
daihika daivik bhautik tapan, aba laun bahut jare
(The three types of miseries (miseries caused by the body and mind, miseries caused by the celestial gods, and miseries caused by other living beings) are giving me great agony)
lakh chaurasi yoni charachara, bahu vidhi swang dhare
(I have assumed various guises in the 84 lakh species of life, consisting of mobile and immobile beings)
mriga mirgajala jyon dhaya raina dina, indrina ghat na bhare
(Like the deer seeking to quench its thirst from the mirage in the desert, my senses remain dissatisfied from experiencing sense pleasures)
chhina chhina badhati jaati vasana, jyon ghrit agani pare
(Instead, my desires just get more inflamed, just like fire rises with redoubled fury if clarified butter is poured on it)
nara tanu paya 'kripalu' chet na tu, pari bhav koop mare
(Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj advises, "You have a human body! Come to your senses now, otherwise having fallen into the well of material existence, you will suffer terribly)
Prem Ras Madira - Dainya Madhuri 66
