Husqvarna YTH21K46 Rebuild! adjust valves, oil change, starter replacement and more!

This video will help you fix a lot of the regular maintenance you have from year to year. I wanted to tackle all my problems my Husqvarna has had. I'd like to say once and for all, but this mower has had serious problems from day one when I got it with the defective Kohler engine where it broke the engine case I repaired in an earlier video. I changed all 4 tires using tire spoons with my Coats tire machine to break the bead and hold the rim. Changing the tires isn't an easy job and truthfully should be left to a professional. The next project I tackled in this video was repairing Husqvarna's defective front suspension pivot point. They should have put a grease fitting in it from the factory. It would have cost them pennies. Without a grease-able joint, it wore out the axle so bad the tires would rub on the mower deck when i would turn the steering all way, making it difficult to make tight turns. I bored it out and machined new bushing and installed a grease fitting. Next was the tune-up by changing the sparkplug, air cleaner, fixing leaky valve cover, adujusting the valves, and (installing a new exhaust gasket using Orange Permatex). The starter was getting really weak, making every time starting a fight, so that was the next repair done and, lastly, the oil change. Most of these repairs are the same process in this video as the same for most other non-commercial personal riding mower brands. This is for the do-it-yourselfer to follow along step by step to fully repair your riding mower.
